I love this furniture, a friend had purchased a glider. After seeing it, I knew I had to have one! We first purchased 2 chairs and a glider in 2016. Then we purchased 2 more chairs and a foot rest in 2019! This furniture is so comfortable and such great quality it will last for generations! You will want to own several pieces. The first group of furniture i ordered and the second order looks exactly the same, even though they were purchased years apart. At first assembly looked daunting, however it goes fast and is simple to assemble, just follow the instructions! I look forward to purchasing more to go with my set!! First off, there is more assembly required than may be obvious by looking at the picture. When you first pull out all of the plastic pieces and then dump out the bag packed with stainless hardware, you may feel dismay. But once you get started it actually goes pretty quickly. All of the holes line up (amazing) and it's all pretty logical once you see the first steps take shape. I built it solo but having a helper would be a plus for a few steps.
The chair is big and seems sturdy. It is comfortable and I don't think cushioning will be needed. The seat is wide and the back is fairly upright which I like. One thing to note. Even though the back is 42" high, the seat is also high to allow clearance for the glider portion. So if you are tall, then the back is not as high as you may like. I'm about 6'2" and the top of the back is about shoulder height. So no support for your head and neck if you are tall and need that in a chair.
But overall I'm very pleased with the quality and comfort. Time will tell if I feel the same once a few seasons pass!
Read the reviews before purchasing, so I was surprised that these were fairly easy to assemble for me! I'm not much of a handy man but put them both together rather quickly. They are comfortable, and I would highly recommend for the quality and price.
